Luke Sutton’s in the business of making people happy. . . which is probably why the t-shirts he sells are emblazoned with his drawings of an adorable anthropomorphic heart and not of a crying puppy. Crying puppies, I’ve found, do not make people the least bit happy. The adorable shirts are an irony-free declaration that in a cynical, heartless world, it’s OK to have a heart–especially if said heart wears yellow sneakers and a giant smile.

True, the proprietor of Cupcakes and Cuties happens to be my older sister, and she threatened to tell Mom if I didn’t feature her hair clips on my gift-recommendation site. But sibling rivalry aside, I happen to think that Sis makes really cute hair bows. (She also made me two really cute nieces who wear said hair bows, so I don’t have a problem doing her this solid.) The bows make great stocking stuffers–or to accompany a gift of clothing.
