This year’s hot holiday toy is a morphing marble trading card game (their explanation, not mine). Any trip down the action-figure hero aisle at your local Toys R Us or Big Box store will confirm my statement–the desolate space where Bakugan toys once lived is little more than a ghost town of naked racks and the occasional misplaced Power Ranger.

Yesterday, I had the good fortune to attend the Toy Wishes Magazine Holiday Preview 2008. During this event, toy companies big and small present their holiday offerings to the press. The magazine also announces its “Hot Dozen”–toys that after months of testing and analyzing, the magazine has predicted will be top sellers this year.
